Uday Khanna

Uday Khanna is a Chartered Accountant with a distinguished career spanning close to four decades with Hindustan Lever / Unilever and Lafarge and currently sits as an Independent Director on the Boards of Kotak Mahindra Bank ,Pfizer Ltd ,Castrol India Ltd and Pidilite Industries Ltd. In his professional career he has been on the Board of Hindustan Unilever as Director Exports before being its financial controller and Treasurer.He has also  worked as  the Vice Chairperson of Lever Brothers Nigeria and General Auditor for Unilever -North America based in New York and was subsequently Senior Vice President-finance for Unilever Asia based in Singapore.Thereafter he joined the Lafarge Group in Paris as Senior Vice President for Group Strategy and then become the Managing Director & CEO of Lafarge India and then its Chairmen till his retirement in 2014.

Uday has also been the non executive chairman of Bata India from June 2011 to August 2019. He was been on the group advisory Board of the Murugappa Group and served on the Boards of Thomas Cook,Coromandel International and NRB in the past.He has been the past President of the BombayChamber of Commerce & Industry and the Indo French Chamber of Commerce & Industry and was the recipient of the L,ordre National du Merite from the President of the republic of France for his contribution in promoting Indo-French trade relations.He was the recipient of the “Best Independent Director “award by the Asian Centre for Corporate Governance and Sustainability in 2018.He was theJoint Managing Trustee of the Indian Cancer Society till Sept.2020 and currently sits on the Board of Governors of the Anglo Scottish Education
